Nissan’s new X-Trail was revealed at the 32ndThai Motor Expo 2015 in Bangkok. The SUV is already on sale in the country. Judging by its looks, it seems to be a departure from its previous design. However, we will be able to tell you more on that once we see it in the flesh.
In the international market, Nissan’s X-Trail comes equipped with a host of features such as projector headlamps, LED DRLs, electric seats, traction control, cruise control, dual zone climate control system, four airbags, hill start assist and hill descent control.The interiors are well laidout in dualtone colours and the centre console is home to a seven-inch Nissan connect infotainment system. An attractive twin-pod instrument cluster holds prime position behind the three spoke multi-function steering wheel.
Powering the X-Trail are two petrol engines. One of which is a 2.0-litre motor that produces 149.5bhp along with 220Nm of torque, and the second being a bigger 2.5-litre engine that offers 186bhp and 234Nm of torque. While the 2.0-litre engine can either work with the six-speed manual or CVT gearbox on offer, the 2.5-litre can only be had with the CVT gearbox.
It is rumoured that this seven-seater SUV will be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi and CarWale will give you a heads-up as and when things unfold.
