The next generation Audi A8 L has finally been revealed at the first ever Audi summit in Barcelona. This is the fourth generation of the largest sedan that the automaker has built so far and it will come to India sometime in 2018. We have spoken in detail about the launch as well as the top highlights of the new car and now here is a photo gallery of the new Audi A8L.
First up, this being an Audi, it sports an evolutionary design. The front facade has a large trapezoid chrome grille and full LED head lamps which lend the A8 a distinct identity.
Whereas the current trend is to be stately and luxury, the A8L appears to prefer being discreet. The silhouette shows soft lines with subtle hints of chrome and a sporty roofline.
Move to the rear and the thing that catches your attention is the massive light bar which stretches from end-to-end and merges into the full LED tail lamps.
Keeping in tune with the Prologue concept, this car gets a brown and beige cabin with dual screens, virtual cockpit and multi-zone climate control.
When launched, it will be offered with a 3.0-litre petrol and diesel motor. These will be followed by two V8 motors as well as the 6.0-litre W12.
Given its flagship nature, this A8/A8L will sport a host of technologies, both in terms of autonomous driving as well as advanced safety systems.
This new A8L will be introduced in India in the long wheel base form and it is likely to be launched here in early 2018. It is likely that Audi will locally assemble at least two variants. Â
