- Mercedes-Maybach GLS could be unveiled at 2019 LA Auto Show
- The model is expected to arrive in India late next year
Ahead of its unveil that could take place at the upcoming 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Mercedes-Maybach GLS has been spied undisguised. New spy images reveal the GLS based Maybach SUV in production form, devoid of any camouflage.
While the design of the Maybach GLS remains largely similar to the latest iteration of the regular GLS, we can see a few noticeable differences such as the new grille with vertical slats, Maybach logo (hidden for now) and redesigned lower fascia with new corner air vents. At the rear, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS test-mule is almost unchanged, with the only exception being the revised exhaust outlets and black elements that will change into chrome for the production car.
Engine specifications are unknown at the moment although the model is expected to source power from a 6.0-litre V12 petrol motor. An updated 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine cannot be ruled out either. While the global debut of the model is expected to take place soon, the model is likely to arrive at the Indian shores sometime late next year.
