Premium car manufacturer, Maserati, has unveiled the India-bound Levante in New Delhi at Royal Fables. The vehicle was exhibited from October 5-7 at the DLF Emporio and is scheduled for its India launch in the fourth quarter this year. The company claims that the car’s name, Levante, represents a warm Mediterranean wind that can change from a light breeze to an irresistible natural force in an instant, mirroring the character of the first Maserati SUV.
Mechanically, the India-bound Maserati Levante will be powered by a 3-litre V6 turbo diesel engine which generates 271bhp of power and 600Nm of torque. The eight-speed automatic gearbox powers the ‘Q4’ intelligent all-wheel drive system. The vehicle is capable of sprinting from 0 – 100kmph in just about 6.9-seconds and is capable of achieving a top speed of 230kmph.
At the time of its launch, there will be a host of features on offer like adaptive cruise control, ESP, ABS with EBD and of course, multiple airbags for the front and rear passengers. Moreover, you also get two style packs on offer- luxury pack and sport pack. As their name suggests, they might offer a host of interior and exterior customisation options to enhance that specific quotient of the car.
More details on the pricing aspect will be known at the time of its launch.
