Honda has displayed the BR-V at the ongoing Thailand Motor Show and this will most likely be the same version we should expect to be launched in India. Honda’s next India offering to target the likes of SUVs and crossovers, is rumoured to launch in mid-2016 after possibly showcasing the car at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
We scooped out some of the features that have been revealed on the Thai car. These include projector headlamps with LED guides, power retractable door mirrors with turn signals, front, rear and side under-spoilers, a sporty tailgate spoiler, 16” alloys and a shark fin antenna. Interior features that were seen are a trip computer, tilt steering, six-inch touch screen audio system with android mode, aux, usb and bluetooth functions. We also saw middle-row roof AC vents, a rear parking camera, audio switches on the steering wheel, auto AC, adjustable headrests, ABS and EBD, dual airbags, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, keyless entry and an immobiliser. We assume that the ground clearance of 201mm and the adequate 5.3m turning radius to positively aid driving duties on our roads.
Honda calls the BR-V “brave by design”, and going by the current waves of attraction SUVs have created of late, this might just work in their favour.
