- Is seven-seat version of the Duster
- Likely to debut in India in 2025
The seven-seat version of the Dacia (Renault) Duster, the Bigster has finally made its international debut. This new extended version of the new-gen Duster is expected to make its way to India in 2025 alongside the standard five-seat iteration.
Design-wise, the Bigster SUV borrows many design elements from the two-row Duster SUV. These include Y-shaped LED DRLs and taillights, chunky wheel arches, body cladding, revised front and rear bumpers, functional roof-rails, and pillar-mounted rear door handles. Notably, the rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillar.
On the inside, the new Bigster SUV’s cabin is more or less identical to that of the Duster SUV with a new dashboard layout, centre console, and seat upholstery. As for the features, it comes loaded with a floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof.
Internationally, the new Dacia Bigster gets three powertrain options. However, in India, the Duster and the Bigster SUVs will have two engine options - a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. Moreover, the SUV could also come featuring 4x4 tech with top-spec variants.
