The Mercedes S-Class has received its mid-life facelift and so have the Maybachs. Revealed earlier this year, the Maybachs are finally hitting dealerships in Europe and we expect the luxury Merc to arrive in India before the end of this year.
Since it is a mid-life update, the 2017 Maybachs aren’t strikingly different compared to their predecessors. The LED patterns of the headlamps and the tail lamps have been revised along with the chrome-lined air dam. The chunky dish-type alloy-design has been tweaked as well. Inside the car, the quilted leather, the creature comforts and the display screens have been enhanced to match the most recent trends along with ambient lighting and other features.
The new Maybachs will be offered in two trims – the S560 Maybach and the S650 Maybach with the latter getting the top-of-the-mine 630bhp bi-turbo V12 petrol engine displacing 6000cc. With 1000Nm of tap, the S650 shares the powertrain with the S65 AMG and is one of the most powerful Mercedes cars on offer.
Mercedes-Benz is expected to launch the new 2017 S-Class in India around the festive season and we hope the Maybachs roll in soon after.
