International Cars & Motors Limited (ICML) has launched the new ‘Extreme’ MUV in Hyderabad. The company known for the Sonalika tractors and the Qualis lookalike MUV, the Rhino, had unveiled this vehicle at the 2012 Auto Expo. The Extreme is basically a tweaked version of the Rhino, with a better engine option.
The ICML Extreme comes with two engine options – 99bhp direct injection engine and all-new 120bhp CRD-Fi. The new engine is also used by Chevrolet in the Tavera Neo3 and is highly economical. The MUV is available in four variants – LD (non-AC), LD (AC), SD and VD, with flexible seating layout can accommodate between 7 to 10 passengers.
The base variant of the Extreme is priced at Rs 5.88 lakh in Hyderabad and all India prices should be available soon. ICML has decent presence in North India and is now planning to expand its reach across India. The company is also working on building a decent dealer network before their SUV, the Haval 5, with Chinese partner makes debut in India.
