Hyundai India achieved a highest ever domestic sales with 50,016 units in India in October 2016. This is an increase of 6.4 per cent in domestic sales over last October when it managed to sell 47,015 unit.
Whereas managing to export only 14,356 units compared to 14,686 units exported in October 2015, there is a drop of 2.2 per cent in the export for the Korean manufacturer. With cumulative sales of 64,372 units, Hyundai achieved an increase of 4.3 per cent as compared to the same time last year when it cumulatively sold 61,701 units. There is also an increase of 17.4 per cent over last month owing to the festive season in India.
Commenting on the October sales, Y K Koo, MD & CEO Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “Hyundai with a highest-ever domestic volume of 50,016 units registered record cumulative sales of 64,372 units in October 2016. Hyundai achieved the highest and fastest domestic sales of 50,000 units mark within 15 months from the earlier milestone of 40,000 units. The recently launched All-New Elantra received an overwhelming response with 1,509 bookings resulting in 4-5 months waiting period, we thank our customers for showing confidence in brand Hyundai”
