- 45,801 cars sold in August 2018 and 47,103 cars sold in August 2017
- 16,111 cars exported in August 2018
- 43,481 cars sold in July 2018
Hyundai, the second largest car seller in the country, has managed to sell over 45,000 cars in the month of August 2018. While the sales have dipped by about 3 per cent as compared to the sales in August 2017, they have increased when compared to the previous month of July 2018 when the carmaker sold 43,481 units.
Now, the domestic sales are seeing tumultuous times, especially with the floods wreaking havoc in Kerala. But the exports have grown by over 25 per cent, thus cementing Hyundai’s position as one of the top-exporters of passenger cars from India. Hyundai has been selling about 45,000 units consistently over the past year and has revised its entire line-up from the Grand i10 to the Creta. With the AH2/Santro expected to arrive in the festive season, the Korean brand will expect to add another 10,000 units to its kitty every month, at least.
