Hyundai has launched a special edition of the Xcent to celebrate 20 years of its existence in India. The petrol variant is priced at Rs 6.22 lakh and the diesel trim costs Rs 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).
This Anniversary edition is based on the S variant of the Xcent. It gets some cosmetic changes and gets additional features. The changes to the exterior include a 20th anniversary badge, chrome finish on lower grille, side body decals, boot lip spoiler with reflector strip and a chrome accent on the boot lid. The features in the cabin include black and red dual-tone fabric upholstery and a new 6.2-inch Blaupunkt touchscreen audio system.
The current line-up of petrol and diesel engines will be carried over. The petrol trim will continue to be powered by 1.2-litre Kappa engine that produces 81bhp of power and 114Nm of torque. The diesel gets a 71bhp 1.1-litre mill and both these engines come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
This Anniversary edition is more expensive than the standard S variant by about Rs 20,000. However, only 2,400 samples of this special edition Xcent will be produced to exude exclusivity. The car will be offered only in two body colour options - white and silver.
