Hyundai has launched the Xcent compact sedan in the Nepali market for 24,96,000 NPR (Rs 15.5 lakh). It is available in three variants and with a single engine option. The car is manufactured at the South Korean auto maker’s Chennai plant and exported to the hill nation.
The Nepali market gets the Xcent in three variants- Base, S and SX (O). All three variants are exactly the same as their Indian counterparts right down to the feature list and interior trim options. The external design too remains unchanged and as we have seen in India, shares much with the Grand i10 hatchback.
The engine on offer is the 1.2-litre Kappa unit that produces 81bhp and 114Nm of torque with power going to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. It is possible that Hyundai will offer the four-speed automatic at a later date in the Nepali market.
