Rakesh Srivastava, senior Vice President, marketing and sales, Hyundai Motor India, said, "The plant is producing (the i20) at full capacity. It will be ramped up by a few more thousand. As of March 16, Hyundai received 4,68,184 enquiries and 1,03,960 bookings for the i20. The car has a waiting period of two-and-a-half months."
Earlier, it was the Grand i10, which had received 10,000 bookings in 20 days. This was followed by the Xcent that had registered 11,000 bookings in 30 days. Now, the Elite i20 is achieving such landmarks for the company. Hyundai plans to improve the domestic volumes by selling more thanfour million vehicles this year.
