The images of the Hyundai Verna facelift have been leaked once again ahead of its official debut at the Chengdu Motor Show. The updated model will get new cosmetic and feature upgrades and is also expected to be offered with BS-VI compliant petrol and diesel engine options. The company has not revealed plans for its India debut yet and it is expected to be introduced sometime later in 2020. Â
Based on what can be seen, the Verna facelift gets a new grille with chrome slats on the bumper and large boomerang-shaped wraparound headlamps. Moreover, the front bumper features aggressive lines with silver inserts that give it a sporty stance. The side profile benefits from new alloy wheels and blacked-out B-pillars, while the rear receives a new bumper, new tailgate, wraparound tail lamps and a light strip running across the width of the boot-lid. Additionally, the rear bumper also gets a silver insert with a fog lamp in the centre and diamond-shaped reflectors on either side.Â
Mechanically, the new Verna is expected to be powered by a BS-VI compliant 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine option. The new model might also get a hybrid system at the time of launch. More details about the India-spec Hyundai Verna will be known in the days to come.
