- Hyundai has developed a DCT for the Venue.
- It remains uncertain whether Hyundai will offer the DCT on the India-spec Venue.
We already know that the Hyundai Venue will be available with petrol and diesel powertrains that will be offered across manual and automatic transmissions. However, there is still ambiguity on the type of AT that will be on offer. CarWale can now confirm that the Hyundai Venue will get a dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). It's not certain whether the India-spec Venue will get the DCT at launch, however, Hyundai has already readied it for the international markets.
The Venue will employ a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor and a 1.4-litre CRDi turbocharged diesel engine. The SUV will come with the Hyundai BlueLink Connectivity technology that gets 33 features with 10 India-specific features that focus on vehicle management, safety and convenience.
As a reminder, Hyundai’s Maruti Vitara Brezza rival will be unveiled on 17 April. The SUV will be positioned below the Hyundai Creta and is likely to be priced between Rs 7.5 lakhs to Rs 11 lakhs (ex-showroom). Here's everything we know so far about the Hyundai Venue.
