The Hyundai Venue has been officially revealed in India ahead of its official launch on 21 May 2019. The company introduces the compact SUV as India’s first ‘Smart Connected SUV’ with global Hyundai BlueLink Connectivity technology. The Hyundai BlueLink technology will arrive in India with 33 new connected car features, of which, 10 will be specific to India. The company has divided 33 services in seven categories – Safety, Security, Remote, VRM (vehicle relation management), LBS (location-based services), Alerts Services and Voice Recognition Services. To begin with, the interior of the upcoming Hyundai Venue will get an all-black theme with faux brushed aluminium trim, along with an eight-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the Venue will offer convenience features in the form of a cooled glove box, rear AC vents and wireless charging. To compete strongly in the compact SUV segment, the Venue will be offered with premium features such as the electric sunroof, cruise control, engine start/stop button and six airbags with a range of standard safety features. Moreover, the vehicle uses a strong body structure with 69 per cent advanced high strength steel.
As for the exterior design, the upcoming Hyundai Venue is a clearly a charmer with an aggressive large chrome grille and projector headlamp with LED DRLs. Under the hood, the Hyundai Venue will be available in two petrol and one diesel engine option. The petrol engine options include - Kappa 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol and a 1.2-litre petrol engine option. The diesel version will get a 1.4-litre option. Seven-speed dual clutch transmission is available in the top spec version.
