Ahead of its India launch on 21 May, Hyundai Venue has started reaching dealerships across India. A top-spec petrol DCT model of the Venue was spotted at a Hyundai dealership earlier this week. On 6 May, which was the company’s 23rd Foundation Day in India, Hyundai commenced series production of the Venue at its facility near Chennai.
The company has already started taking bookings for Hyundai Venue, and potential customers can make an online booking or at a Hyundai dealership at an amount of Rs 21,000. The Venue will be offered in four trim-levels that are spread across 13 variants. We have detailed the variant-wise features of the compact SUV, which you can read here.
The compact SUV will rival the Vitara Brezza, Nexon, EcoSport and XUV300. It will be available with three engine and transmission options. The 1.2L petrol motor will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and will be available with the E and S trims. The 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. While the 1.0L petrol manual is available in S, SX and SX(O) trims, the petrol DCT is only offered in S and SX+ variants.
On the other hand, the 1.4L diesel motor is only offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel powertrain is available across all four trim levels. Hyundai is marketing the Venue as India’s first smart connected SUV. It will come packed with the Hyundai Blue Link suite, which offers 33 connectivity features, including 10 India-specific features.
