Exactly a month ago, the Hyundai Venue went on sale in India. And ever since the company commenced taking reservations for the Venue, the compact SUV has received over 33,000 bookings in India. In fact, Hyundai celebrated the Venue’s one-month anniversary by delivering over 1000 units in a single day.
We have reviewed the Hyundai Venue and came away impressed with its overall driving dynamics and the package that it offers. The Venue is one of the most feature-rich compact SUVs in its segment, which includes the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport.
The Venue has been off to a good start, with the company dispatching over 7,000 units of the compact SUV in May. It is the first vehicle in India to get internet connectivity features via the Hyundai Blue Link connected car technology. The Venue is available in the price range of Rs 6.50-11.10 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Powering Hyundai Venue is a set of three engines and two gearbox options. Customers can choose between 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol or a 1.4-litre turbocharged diesel motor. The former is available with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the latter can be had with a six-speed manual transmission. However, our pick would be the 1.0-litre TGDI three-cylinder petrol motor. The direct-injection turbo-petrol engine is offered with a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission).
