Hyundai has been voted as the best after-sales service providing carmaker in India for the second time in a row, according to JD Power survey. The survey included over 9,000 cars sold between March 2015 and August 2017 and was conducted over a period of five months this year.
The study measures new-vehicle owner satisfaction with after-sales service process that examines dealership performance in five factors - service quality (30%); service initiation (18%); service facility (18%); service advisor (17%) and vehicle pick-up (17%). Hyundai has pipped brands like Toyota, Honda and Maruti Suzuki two years in a row especially in a challenging market like India.
Hyundai is the second largest car maker in India with annual sales of over 5 lakh vehicles in the country. It has a strong base in the premium segments especially in the Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs range and with the addition of the Santro, the total volumes are expected to grow by about 20 per cent to increase its overall market share by two to three per cent. Hyundai has the Eon, the Grand i10, the Elite i20, the Xcent, the Verna, the Creta, the Elantra and the Tucson in their Indian line-up.
