- The pavilion divided into five different zones
At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo Hyundai is going all out and has announced that alongside the launch of Creta will showcase the Ioniq 9 and Staria MPV as part of its exhibits. In addition, Hyundai will also have five zones at its pavilion one of which will also display its made-in-India prowess in terms of OEM parts.
Hyundai Creta Electric
This is Hyundai’s first-ever locally made electric vehicle and will be offered in the Smart, Executive, Excellence and Premium variants across two powertrain options. Like its ICE sibling, the top-spec version has been loaded up with features like climate control with rear AC vents, dual digital screens, ventilated front seats, connected car technology and level-2 ADAS. This is an important car for Hyundai as it will be their rival for the likes of the Maruti e Vitara, Kia Carens EV, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, MG ZS EV and future models from Honda and Skoda.
Hyundai Ioniq 9
This is Hyundai’s new flagship three-row electric vehicle and is a sister car to the Kia EV9. It was revealed in November 2024 and is expected to come to India over the course of 2025. Some of the major highlights include a dual-tone cabin, dual-digital screens, multi-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, eight-speaker sound system and level-2 ADAS. The display car is expected to be the 110.2 kWh battery pack AWD-enabled version with a yet-to-be-announced claimed range.
Hyundai Staria
Seeing the potential of the Kia Carnival, Hyundai is bringing its version to showcase at the 2025 Auto Expo. Launched in 2022, the Staria sports an unconventional design with rounded edges and a high roof. Some of the major design elements include the low-set headlamps and large chrome grille. Inside, it’s a captain seat three-row layout with features like powered reclining second-row, multi-zone climate control, dual digital screens and a massive panoramic glass roof. Globally, the Staria can be had with either a 3.5-litre V6 petrol or a 2.2-litre diesel. It’s the latter that has bigger potential in India produces 175bhp/431Nm and is mated to an eight-speed AT.
Other vehicles
Hyundai will have its complete India range on display at the Expo stall as well as cars like the Nexo FCV. In the previous iterations of the Expo, Hyundai had always brought one of its WRC vehicles and its expected to follow suite this time too.
