Hyundai India is planning equip the Elite i20, the Active i20 and the Verna with touchscreen systems in the next couple of weeks. This development comes a few days after the news of features being cut off from the Elite i20 came.
The competitors like the Honda Jazz and the City, both are equipped with touchscreen systems and in the world of latest technology, Hyundai doesn’t want to be the left behind. We are expecting this technology to come with only the top of the line variant and won’t be surprised if Hyundai charges extra for it.
While the company didn’t reduce the price of the Elite i20 after cutting off features, we will appreciate if it passes this equipment to the customer at no or marginal cost. It is said that the i20 and the Active i20 will get the touchscreen system by the end of this month, whereas the Verna will only get it during the Diwali season.
