Hyundai sets a new sales record in October 2018

Hyundai India has scaled new heights in monthly sales recording 52,001 sales in the month of October 2018. The highest sales ever came in the backdrop of the launch of the Santro in the latter half of the month which boosted sales and crossed the 50,000 mark for the first time in 2018.

The Santro has registered 8,500 numbers and with the strong pre-launch bookings, it is expected to join the 10,000 units club. The Grand i10, Elite i20 and the Creta are already regular members of this club and the Santro should join them in November and is expected to be a regular as well.

While the year-on-year growth is at five per cent over October 2017, the sales have improved by about 11 per cent over the previous month i.e. September 2018. At 13,000 units in October 2018, Hyundai continues to be one of the biggest exporters of cars in India.
