Hyundai Motors has sold 49,681 cars for the month of November 2013 with a drop of 10.9 per cent in sales as compared to last year. The cumulative sales include 33,501 units of cars sold in India and 16,180 units of cars exported globally.
With 34,751 units of domestic sales and 21,011 cars exported, the carmaker sold 55,762 units of cars in November 2012. This shows a 10.9 per cent decline in sales in comparison to the current figures.
However, Hyundai claims that the new Grand i10 along with the other line-up of cars, the company has maintained an equilibrium in the dropping car market sales. Sales of 11,007 units of the Grand i10 have definitely sustained the declining sales figures for the company.
Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., looking at the sales report said, “At Hyundai the strong focus on Channel efficiency & the addition of the successful new model Grand i10 with sales of 11,007 units along with the strong product portfolio has increased the cumulative market share of Hyundai cars to an all-time high in a declining industry. After the festival season market has been sluggish due to unfavorable macro-economic factors and the low market sentiments resulting lower customer enquiries.”
