Leaked reports reveal that Hyundai might soon revise the Santro variant line-up in India. It is believed that the manufacturer might discontinue the entry-level D-Lite and the one level higher Era variants of the Santro. The discontinued variants will be replaced by a new Era Executive variant, which gets front power windows, air-conditioning and body coloured bumpers. However, the Era Executive variant misses out on the rear AC option which was previously available in variants upwards of the Era.Â
Moreover, the report further reveals that the Santro Sportz AMT now gets passenger airbag, rearview camera and front-seatbelt pretensioners. However, the manual Santro does not get any additional update yet. Additionally, the Santro Magna manual and CNG variants will get steering mounted controls, and audio system with Bluetooth connectivity.Â
Hyundai is yet to officially announce the change in the variant list. It is believed that with the new addition of features, the prices across recently updated variants are likely to be hiked by Rs 15,000.
