The upcoming facelift of Hyundai Santa Fe has been photographed completely undisguised, near the company’s facility in South Korea.
The spy shots reveal that the premium SUV will get a few cosmetic tweaks for the exterior. The front grille has been revised with more pronounced chrome slats, a new headlamp cluster as well as a redesigned lower bumper with new fog lamps. The rear of the car now sports a new tail lamp cluster and tail pipes. While these photos show just the five-seater version of the car, we can safely expect the revisions to be carried over for the seven-seater versions. We can also expect to see a few tweaks for the interior of the new Santa Fe.
As the 2016 model is just a facelift, we can expect Hyundai to leave the mechanicals of the Santa Fe untouched. The new Santa Fe was launched in India over a year ago, at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and has been selling in pretty decent numbers ever since. We can expect the facelifted Santa Fe to be introduced here a few weeks after it is launched globally. The Santa Fe rivals other premium SUVs like the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva, Ford Endeavour and the Renault Koleos.
