Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has posted a growth of 8.5 per cent in overall sales in January 2018. The company sold 56,216 vehicles last month as against 51,834 cars delivered to customers in the same month in 2017.
Domestic sales also increased by 8.3 per cent as the company sold 45,508 units in India last month as against 42,017 units in January 2017. The exports also increased in the new year, which continued to drive growth at the company. The company exported 10,708 units, compared to 9,817 units a year ago in the same period, a hike of 9.1 per cent.
The growth in car sales comes thanks to the backing of the increase in demand of Hyundai cars. The Grandi10, Creta, Elite i20 and the new-gen Verna are doing fairly good in the Indian market. This has boosted the sales for the carmaker.
