Hyundai Motor India Ltd, has managed to sell 42,605 units, in India, last month while exports reached a high of 16,606 units.
While the car maker sold 42,505 units the same time last year (an increase of 0.2 per cent), exports in the same period touched 14,034 units and this turns out to be an increase of 18.3 per cent. With the cumulative sales standing at 59,211 units for September 2016, it translates into a 4.7 per cent increase over the past year.
Commenting on the September sales Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President Sales and Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “Hyundai with a domestic volume of 42,605 units in September 2016 registered highest ever sales of 370,448 units for the CY (Jan-Sep 2016) with a sustained growth of 7.9 per cent with a strong portfolio of modern and premium products led by Creta, Elite i20 and Grandi10. We hope that the festive season will see a benchmark growth in the industry with the evenly spread monsoon along with the seventh pay commission building positive sentiments in the market.”
