Hyundai Motors India today achieved another milestone by rolling out its five millionth car from its production plant at Irrungattukottai close to Chennai. Shahrukh Khan, the Korean automaker’s brand ambassador was present during this historic event. To sweeten this milestone the 50th lakh car was a Grand i10, which has been a bestseller for the company.
Hyundai first started its car production about 15 years ago in India and has the capacity to produce 6.8 lakh cars annually with an investment of about USD 2.7 billion(270 crores). Shahrukh Khan who has been associated with Hyundai for quite a long time did the honours.
