Hyundai has registered a strong 23.7 per cent growth in the domestic market last month, selling 47,015 units in October as compared to 38,010 units in the same month last year. Riding on the success of the Creta, the company has recorded the highest-ever domestic sales.
The Korean manufacturer’s exports dipped by 18 per cent from 18,009 units to 14,777 units, but the cumulative sales still showed 10.3 per cent growth. Both the Creta compact SUV and Elite i20 hatchback have been doing well for Hyundai and with a long waiting period, the company is expected to continue the momentum for the next few months.
Commenting on the October sales, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, "Hyundai sales of 47,015 units are all-time highest with an all-time high sales of Grand i10 with 14,079 units and continued strong performance of Modern Premium Brands Creta and Elite i20/Active with 18,244 units with maximised production to meet the strong demands of the Customers so as to minimise the waiting period as we expect the growth momentum to continue in the coming months with improving customer sentiments."
