Hyundai India has announced that it grew by 1.6 per cent in May.
The company sold 42,007 units last month as compared to the 41,351 units sales made in the corresponding month last year. The growth is a result of good demand of the new Xcent that registered 30 percent growth. The Korean maker continues to have strong demand for the Creta compact SUV and the Elite i20.
The sales for Hyundai cars might fall down post GST implementation in July. The tax for smaller cars have been increased, whereas luxury and SUVs will get cheaper.
