Carmakers have got to keep that right balance between consistent sales and ideal production, and failing in either can be discouraging for any brand. So after gauging the sales performance and the rising demand for its popular crossover offering – the Creta, Hyundai India has decided to increase the production of the said model.
The Korean carmaker will increase the production of the Creta by 20 per cent to around 12,000 units per month to meet rising demand.
Introduced in July last year, the Creta took no time in becoming one of the best-selling crossovers in the Indian market. So much so that Hyundai received over 1 lakh bookings for it by the middle of March 2016. All of this is thanks to its well-built interiors and powerful yet efficient engine options. The only real rival for the Creta is the recently facelifted Renault Duster which gets a 6-speed AMT as well as an all-wheel drive version.
