- 7.3 per cent drop in domestic sales in June

Hyundai Motor India has reported a 7.3 per cent drop in domestic sales in June 2019 with 42,007 unit sales as against 45,314 units sold in June 2018. Hyundai being the country’s largest car exporter, exports have grown by nine per cent with 16,800 units sold in June 2019 as against 15,408 units sold in June 2018.
As for cumulative figures, Hyundai Motor India has sold 58,807 units in June as against 60,722 units in same period last year, thereby reporting a 3.2 per cent drop in cumulative sales. Hyundai’s product range in India includes – Santro, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, Venue, Creta and the Tucson.
The automobile industry in India is witnessing a slump in sales which has affected almost all segments. The overall sales are likely to increase in the second half of 2019 with ongoing upgrades to BS-VI compliant models and the upcoming budget announcement.
