Hyundai Motor India Ltd’s domestic sales dropped by 15.8 % and the exports grew by 21.6%.HMIL’s total sales for March 2009 stood at 46,160 units against 47,001 units in March, 2008.
The domestic market accounted for 24,754 units compared to 29,401 units for the same month last year while the exports totaled 21,406 units in March, 2009 against 17,600 units of March, 2008.Â
The segment-wise cumulative sales in the month of March, 2009 are as follows: A2 Segment (Santro, i10, Getz & i20) 41,802 units; A3 Segment (Accent & Verna) 4,285 units, A5 Segment (Sonata Transform) 70 units; and SUV Segment (Tucson) 3 units.
