The India made Hyundai (Elite) i20 has been launched in the Indonesian market. Priced at Rs 12.74 lakh, it is being offered with a single petrol engine but in two variants as well as multiple colour options. The Indonesian market gets the car via CBU route.
This is the second generation for the Hyundai i20 since it was launched in 2009. It is Hyundai’s premium B-segment hatchback and slots in above the i10 which is also in its second generation. The car has been on sale in India since 2014 and is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options.
Powering this car is a 1.4-litre four cylinder engine producing 98bhp/133Nm of torque. It can be had with a six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic sending power to the front wheels. Standard features for the Indonesian market include rear AC vents, touchscreen infotainment system and a digital display for the instrument cluster. There are no changes with regard to design or layout as compared to the Indian model.
