Hyundai introduces new top-end variants for i20 and i20 Active

Hyundai is offering new top-end variants of the i20 hatchback and i20 Active crossover with AVN music system. The touch screen system is similar to the one seen on the Hyundai Creta compact SUV and is available on the Asta (O) and SX variants of the hatchback and the crossover respectively.

The reports also claim that the i20 Active is available in the new top-end SX petrol variant. The feature list on this version includes dual airbags, automatic climate control, start/stop function, steering adjustment and others. The new 7-inch touch screen unit will offer navigation, apart from the standard multimedia functions.

The new top-end petrol and diesel variants of the Elite i20 are about Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 cheaper respectively, than the similar spec Honda Jazz. Though the launch of the Jazz has not affected the i20 sales much, the move should further strengthen i20’s image in the market.

Hyundai i20 petrol Asta (O):  Rs 7.49 lakh

Hyundai i20 diesel Asta (O): Rs 8.69 lakh

Hyundai i20 Active SX petrol: Rs 8.30 lakh

Hyundai i20 Active SX diesel: Rs 9.61 lakh
