Hyundai Motor India the country second largest automobile manufacturer has announced that it will revise the price of the recently launched i10 across all its variants effective from January 12, 2008 up to a maximum of Rs 5,000 for the top trim. Other models too will see a marginal price hike in a few weeks to come.
The i10 was launched in New Delhi on 31st October, 2007 marking the world debut of the i10. Significantly the i10 was first launched in the Indian market and this was followed by the European launch at the Bologna Motor show in Italy in December 2007.
The i10 has received tremendous response from the Indian media and the customers and till date has received bookings of around 15,000 units. Arvind Saxena, Sr Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Hyundai Motor India while announcing the revision in the prices commented "we had launched the i10 in the Indian market with an introductory price to increase its appeal to a wide range of customers but with our input costs rising from this January '08 we are increasing the prices marginally for the i10 as well as some other models"
