Hyundai has omitted few features from all the variants of the Elite i20. The variants with reduced features list have been on sale for a while, though there are no changes in the prices of the hatchback.
The Era variant of the Elite i20 loses out on the passenger side vanity mirror and ticket holder. The Magna variant also loses out on the ticket holder. For the Sportz version, Hyundai India has removed the leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, drive window auto up function and boot lamp. Also, the Sportz version will come with only one folding key instead of two.
The premium Sportz (O) trim loses out on the ticket holder and the leather wrapped steering cover and gear knob. The top-end version of the Elite i20, the Asta, gets only 12V one power outlet instead of two. While the company didn’t release any official information on this, these changes it seems have been effective from 1 April. The company has also updated seat upholstery with a new one for all the variants.
While it is fair that every manufacturer wants to be profitable and might see a need to make few changes during the life span of a product, it would have been fairer had the company made a formal announcement regarding the same.
