One of India’s leading carmakers, Hyundai, sold 41,861 cars in December 2015. Being the country’s largest passenger car exporter, the brand exported an impressive 22,274 units during the same month, bringing the total sales to 64,135 units.
Hyundai India has managed to grow its domestic volumes, thanks to strong sales performance from cars including the Grand i10 and the i20. The brand’s latest crossover offering the Creta is also bringing in good sales figures.
While the domestic sales improved by a healthy 28 per cent in December 2015 compared to the same period last year, exports dropped by 17 per cent from 26,887 units (December 2014) to 22,274 units last month.
