The Hyundai elite i20-based crossover has been spied testing several times in our country. Quite recently, we also saw the car in an undisguised avatar and now Hyundai Motor India has officially unveiled the renderings of the sporty new vehicle.
The automaker has named the new car as 'i20 Active' and today revealed the design renderings of their car that is styled like an SUV. The crossover has been designed at Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre Europe in Rüsselsheim, Germany. It adopts the company's 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design language and gets a sporty, sharper and bolder look in comparison to the i20 hatchback sold at present. The renderings show the i20 Active's SUV-like appearance and boast of an athletic presence and aggressive side-profile rake.
From the information available to us now, the i20 Active will be powered by the same set of engines that currently power the i20 hatchback. The new car will have an upper hand over the hatchback due to its new design philosophy. The company believes that with a distinctive character and sporty refinement, the car combines fun driving with the enhanced practicality and quality.
The global debut of the Hyundai i20 Active will happen in India in next month. After the official unveiling, Hyundai will put the car on sale in the Indian market and is expected to export it to other markets as well. We can expect the i20 Active to be priced in the range of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11 lakh.
