- A growth of 4.4 per cent posted in domestic sales
- New Hyundai Verna and Elite i20 considerable contributors to the overall sales
- Export sales witness 12% growth
Hyundai India has started the new financial year on a positive note with a 4.4 per cent sales growth in April. Reports indicate that the company had sold 46,735 units in the domestic market last month as against 44,758 units sold in April 2017. Exports for the company stood at 13,009 units with cumulative sales of 59,744 units.
Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Srivastava, Director - Sales and Marketing, HMIL, said, "Hyundai did overall volume growth of 4.4 per cent with a positive start in domestic market with a volume of 46,735 units on the strong performance of Power Brands- Grand i10, i20, Next Gen Verna and Creta contributing 79 per cent of the total sales volume under the modern premium brand direction with best after sales service."
Additionally, in April 2018, exports have also grown by 12 per cent with 13,009 units sold as against 11,610 units sold in the same period last year.
