- Hyundai cumulatively sold 59,590 units in July 2018 as against 55,315 units sold in July 2017
- Domestic growth of 1.1 per cent with 43,481 units sold in July 2018 as against 43,007 units in the same period last year
- Exports witness 31 per cent growth with 16,109 units in July as against 12,308 in the same period last year
Hyundai, the country’s second largest car manufacturer and the largest exporter has reported a cumulative sales growth of 7.7 per cent with 59,590 units sold in July as against 55,315 units sold in July 2017. The company attributes its growth in sales to good sales reported by models such as the Grand i10, new Elite i20, new Creta and the next-gen Verna.
HMIL domestic sales in the country in July 2018 stood at 43,481 units as against 43,007 units sold in the same month last year, thereby reporting a growth of 1.1 per cent. Export numbers have been impressive with 31 per cent growth as the company has reportedly shipped 16,109 units last month as against 12,308 units in the same period last year.
Speaking on the occasion, Y K Koo, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “Hyundai continues strong growth trajectory with a cumulative volume of 59,590 units registering a growth of 7.7 per cent on the strong performance of Grand i10, new Elite i20, new 2018 Creta and Next-Gen Verna. A positive growth trend is visible with the stabilization of macro-economic factors, good monsoons along with an increase in customer confidence and sentiment towards a new vehicle purchase.”
