Hyundai Brazil has unveiled the HB20 R-Spec Concept at the ongoing Sao Paulo Motor Show. The concept car is developed in South Korea and the company plans to take feedback from the public. They aim to integrate the ideas they receive in to their future models.
The HB20 R-Spec concept showcased at the motor show sports a matte blue colour and gets cosmetic changes that lend it a sporty look. The fascia shows the revised broad grille and new projector headlamps that feature daytime running LED lamps. While the grille gets the 'R-Spec' badging, the widened bumpers sport redesigned air intakes.
Coming to the sides, the large 17-inch alloys with a swept back design, red brake calipers and side skirts continue to give the car a sporty look. The OVRMS, side skirts, door handles and alloys are finished in silver. While the spoiler gets a carbon-fibre finish, there are a few more touches with the same material at the rear. New LED tail lamps can be seen and the rear bumper incorporates the air intakes that are surrounded by silver accents. The rear fender also sports the dual exhaust outlets that are finished in chrome.
There are no images of the interior of the car but there are changes in the cabin as well. The layout is slightly altered and the gear-lever now offers better ergonomics. While there are small revisions in black and blue colour to the dashboard and flat-bottomed steering wheel, the seats also offer extra side support and are wrapped in leather and Alcantara with blue stitching.
This stylish car will not enter production but Hyundai plans to record the response generated through the feedback. With the help of this, the manufacturer will borrow some of the styling cues and features in their upcoming production cars.
