The Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan has been launched in the Mexican market. Essentially, the India- spec Hyundai Xcent, it is being offered in the Central American nation in three variants and with a single engine option.
The Hyundai Grand i10 sedan is being offered in three variants - GL, GL MID and top-of-the-line GLS variant which are equal to the India- spec Base, S and SX variants respectively, both in terms of layout and feature list.
On the engine front, the Mexican market gets the 1.2-litre Kappa engine that produces 81bhp and 114Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual. A four-speed AT, which is likely to be offered with the GL MID and GLS variants, will be introduced sometime in 2015.
The Grand i10 sedan, if you have guessed by now, is manufactured at the South Korean automaker plant outside Chennai and is exported to a variety of markets.
