Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the feature-loaded new-generation model of the Grand i10 will be launched in India tomorrow. Bookings for the vehicle commenced earlier this month for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The hatchback will be launched in 10 variants, this includes seven petrol and three diesel variants. Moreover, the Grand i10 Nios will be available in six colour options (variant specific) - red, white, silver, grey, teal and blue.Â
Mechanically, the Grand i10 Nios will get BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The engines will come mated to a five-speed manual and AMT options. Interestingly, the Grand i10 Nios will be available with a diesel AMT (automated manual transmission) option in the Sportz variant. In terms of dimensions, the Grand i10 Nios measures 3805mm in length, 1680mm in width, 1520mm in height and it has a wheelbase of 2450mm. Compared to the regular Grand i10, the Grand i10 Nios is 40mm longer and 20mm wider. Additionally, the wheelbase has also increased by 25mm.Â
In terms of design, the Grand i10 Nios gets sleek projector headlamps and a wider cascading grille that features the integrated boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The sides look fresh with dual-tone alloys and a floating roof, while the rear features LED taillights. As for the interior, the new model is expected to offer floating touchscreen infotainment in the centre and a dual-tone dashboard that incorporates the oval design element. The feature list is likely to include wireless Smartphone charger, smart air purifier, automatic climate control and more.
