- Grand i10 Nios CNG variant is likely to be available only in Magna trim
- Current engine options on the model include a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.2-litre diesel engineÂ
Last week, Hyundai launched the Grand i10 Nios in India, with prices starting at Rs 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The model is available in two powertrain options including a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre diesel engine. Now, Hyundai India plans to launch a CNG variant of the Grand i10 Nios soon.
The standard Hyundai Grand i10 is currently offered with three powertrain options including a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol motor, 1.2-litre CRDi diesel motor and a 1.2-litre bi-fuel (petrol with CNG) motor. The CNG variant of the regular Grand i10 is offered only in the Magna trim and we expect Hyundai to offer the upcoming Grand i10 Nios CNG exclusively in the same trim.
In the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the CNG trim will be offered with the BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre Kappa VTVT petrol engine. This motor, in its current form, is capable of producing 82bhp and 114Nm of torque and is paired to a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT unit.
