A facelifted version of the Hyundai Grand i10 will be launched for the Indian market tomorrow. It was first showcased for the European markets towards the end of last year and gets a host of cosmetic updates both inside and outside as well as a new diesel engine.
Externally, this facelifted Grand i10 gets new bumpers as well as slightly modified grille. The cabin has been updated with a touchscreen infotainment system and a climate control system for the top-of-the-line model. Also included in the list will be rear AC vents and possibly a rear arm rest with cup holders.
The petrol engine will continue to be the 1.2-litre Kappa unit producing 81bhp/114Nm while the diesel will be a new 1.2-litre unit which is expected to get a marginal increase in power and torque as compared to the current 1.1-litre unit.
It will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Tata Bolt, Nissan Micra as well as the Honda Brio in the petrol models. A leaked pricing list indicates that the range will be priced in the range of Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 7.32 lakh for the top-of-the-line Asta diesel variant.
