Hyundai is currently working on a facelift for one of its most popular models – the Grand i10. Launched in late 2013, the B-segment hatch has been a big success for the Korean automaker thanks to its well-built interior, generous equipment and impressive drivetrain. The facelifted model, then, will offer more of the same when it goes on sale early next year.
We have spotted prototypes of the new Grand i10 for quite some time now. However, this time around we managed to track this new model in its entry-level avatar, as seen in these spy shots.
Cosmetically, the facelift will come with restyled front and rear bumpers, headlights with new detailing and possibly a new alloy wheel design as well. Inside, Hyundai is expected to add more features to the already generous equipment list with a new touchscreen infotainment system. The overall space and packaging will remain unchanged though.
The facelift will continue with the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre diesel engines, with 5-speed manual and 4-speed gearbox options. We expect it to go on sale early next year and continue to compete with other mid-size hatchbacks including the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and the Tata Bolt.
