Hyundai is now offering the Grand i10 Asta variant sans the two safety features for Rs 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi, solid paint) while the Asta diesel (solid paint) has been priced at Rs6.09 lakh. When the Grand i10 was launched last month, Hyundai had announced prices for all the variants but did not specify what the Asta variant would cost without the safety features.
Hyundai launched the Grand i10 for the Indian market on September 3 at a function in Delhi. It is available in four variants and with two engine options which includes a new 1.1-litre three cylinder diesel mill that produces 70bhp and 160Nm of torque and is the first vehicle in this segment to offer an oil burner. It is also the first car in its segment to offer rear AC vents, push button start, rear parking sensors and an internal hard disk with the music system.
The Hyundai Grand i10 is the third vehicle to embody the Korean automaker’s fludic design language. It is larger than the European spec car and slot in between the current i10 and i20 in the Indian market. While the price has made the car an even more competitive offering, we would still recommend you purchase the safety features enabled version of the Grand i10.
