Hyundai is celebrating its 20 years of operations in India and the carmaker has decided to go full throttle on the celebrations. The company is giving discounts on different products and a slew of events are going on and few are still lined up. Apart from this, Hyundai has taken wraps off the anniversary edition Grand i10 to mark this landmark. Here's a peek into the changes that the hatchback gets.
This special edition of the hatchback comes hot on the heels of the introduction of the Hyundai Xcent Anniversary Edition. Both these cars get similar features.
The Grand i10 anniversary edition gets body graphics in place of the waistline moulding as seen on the regular Sportz variant. There are no other body decals on the car.
The car gets an anniversary edition badge and a tail-gate spoiler with integrated brake lights. This does add to the sporty appeal.
The outside door handles are body coloured, which was missing on the standard Sportz variant. The B-pillars have been blackened out and the car gets black roof rails to go with the theme.
The Grand i10 Special Edition is based on the Sportz variant of the hatchback. So other features are in line with the standard hatchback.
The hatchback’s interior gets sporty red-black dual-tone color theme as against the brown and beige upholstery in the regular hatchback's cabin.
This new variant features a 6.2-inch touch screen infotainment system, but misses out on the 1GB internal memory available on the Hyundai's 2-DIN player.
The petrol and diesel variants of the special edition are priced at Rs 5.68 lakh and Rs 6.60 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
