The Elite i20 has been one of the bestselling model for the Korean automaker Hyundai in India. In efforts to keep he interest going, the automaker will soon revise variant-wise feature list. The leaked spec sheet reveal that the automaker might also introduce Asta dual-tone variant sometime soon. However, the top-spec Asta (O) will not get any changes and the base Era trim will be offered at an attractive starting price with no changes to the feature list.
As revealed in pictures, the Magna variant is likely to be renamed as Magna Executive. Along with the revised naming, the variant will also loose out on features like headlamp escort function, keyless entry and rear parcel tray. Moving one step ahead, the Sportz variant loses out on features like reverse parking sensors and camera. The second to top Asta variant will now get a 7-inch infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. The system also supports rear camera, however the fresh addition will mean replacing a certain set of features like automatic headlamps, diamond cut alloy wheels and chrome outside door handles.
The new Asta Dual tone variant, as the name suggests, will offer additional cosmetic upgrades in form of black roof with white and red body colour, black interior with orange inserts and R16 diamond cut alloy. Additionally, this variant will also get adjustable rear headrest. Under the hood, the petrol variant continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre VTVT unit that generates 82bhp and 113Nm of torque, while the diesel variant gets a 1.4-litre CRDI unit that generates 89bhp and 220Nm of torque. The petrol engine comes mated to a five-speed manual, while the diesel version gets six-speed manual transmission. The automatic option is limited to the Magna variant with a 1.4-litre petrol engine. More details about the pricing aspect will be known in the coming days.
